The recommendation

A juicer mixer grinder is the better first appliance for almost any Indian kitchen — it grinds masala and makes chutney, which is daily work, and juices adequately. Buy a slow juicer only if you juice seriously and regularly, especially greens; as a second appliance it is excellent, as your only one it is a poor fit.

Common questions

Can a mixer grinder replace a juicer?

For soft fruit, mostly yes — you blend and strain. For carrots, beetroot or leafy greens the yield is poor and a real juicer earns its place.

Why is slow juice more expensive per glass?

It is not — a slow juicer extracts more juice from the same produce. The higher cost is the machine, not the running.
