What does "reserve" mean on Horeka?
Reserving asks the shop to confirm the item is genuinely on the shelf and to hold it for you. You find out whether it is really available before you spend money or travel — which is the part ordinary listings get wrong.
Does the stock shown actually reflect the shop?
Yes. Availability comes from the shops themselves rather than a central warehouse feed, and each shop updates its own in-stock status. That is why a product can show as available in one neighbourhood and not another.
Do I have to pay to reserve?
No. Reserving is a hold, not a purchase — payment happens afterwards. You can pay online by UPI, credit card, debit card or netbanking, or choose Pay in Person and settle when you receive the item.
Why does the shop change when I enter a different pincode?
Every product is offered by the shops near you that actually carry it. Change your pincode and the serviceable set of shops changes with it, so both the price and the delivery time reflect the shop that would really fulfil your order.
What if the shop cannot fulfil my reservation?
You are told rather than left waiting, and nothing is charged for an unfulfilled reservation. If you have already paid, the amount is refunded.
