This policy explains how we price goods, what payment methods we accept, how your payment is handled, and what happens if a price is displayed in error.
1. How prices are displayed
In accordance with Rule 4(3) and Rule 6(5) of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020:
All prices are shown in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of GST unless expressly stated otherwise.
The total price payable is shown as a single figure at checkout, with a full breakdown of every component — product price, delivery charge, handling fee, and taxes.
No compulsory charge is added at any point after you have seen the total. There are no hidden charges.
Where a discount is shown against a struck-through price, that reference price is the Maximum Retail Price declared by the manufacturer or the seller’s own prior selling price, and is stated as such.
The MRP, net quantity, and country of origin are displayed on the product page as required by the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011.
2. Who sets the price
Horeka operates as a marketplace. Prices are set independently by each seller, not by Horeka. We do not manipulate prices to gain unreasonable profit, and we do not impose unjustified prices on consumers. The same product may be offered at different prices by different sellers, and prices may change at any time before you place an order.
The price that applies to your order is the price displayed at the moment you confirm it, as recorded in your order confirmation.

4. How your payment is handled
Payments are processed by RBI-authorised payment aggregators — currently Razorpay, Cashfree and PhonePe. Card and bank credentials are captured by the aggregator on a PCI-DSS compliant page.
Horeka does not store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials at any time. Where card tokenisation applies, tokens are held by the aggregator in accordance with RBI’s tokenisation framework.
Because Horeka is a marketplace, funds collected from you are held and settled to the relevant seller under the Seller Agreement. Collection of payment by Horeka does not make Horeka the seller of the goods — see Marketplace Disclosure.
The tax invoice for the goods is issued by the selling entity, and is made available to you in My Orders.
5. Payment failures
If your payment fails but money has been debited:
Do not re-attempt payment immediately. Check My Orders — if the order appears, it was successful.
Most failed-transaction debits are auto-reversed by your bank within 3–5 working days.
If not reversed, contact [email protected] with your Order ID and the bank reference number.
Failed transactions are resolved in accordance with the RBI Harmonised Turn Around Time (TAT) framework. Where a reversal is delayed beyond the prescribed timeline, you are entitled to compensation of ₹100 per day of delay, which we credit automatically without requiring you to claim it.
6. Pricing and listing errors
Despite our checks, a product may occasionally be listed at a manifestly incorrect price or with a materially incorrect description — for example through a data-feed fault, a currency or decimal error, or a seller input mistake.
Where a price is manifestly erroneous — meaning a reasonable person would recognise it as a mistake rather than a genuine offer — we or the seller may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after the order has been confirmed. We will notify you promptly and in writing with the reason.
We will not do this to escape a genuine promotion, a legitimate clearance price, or a price we simply regret. A confirmed order at a correctly displayed price is binding on the seller.
Where an order is cancelled for a pricing error you have already paid for, the full amount is refunded to the original payment method within the timelines in Returns, Replacements & Refunds.
7. Cancellation
Before dispatch: cancel free of charge from My Orders. No cancellation fee is charged.
After dispatch: Horeka Quick orders cannot be cancelled once dispatched, as delivery completes within hours.
By us or the seller: an order may be cancelled with full refund and written reasons where stock is unavailable, the address is unserviceable, a pricing error occurred, fraud is reasonably suspected, or delivery is prevented by events outside reasonable control.
We do not impose a cancellation charge on you for cancelling after confirming a purchase, unless a corresponding charge is borne by us and was disclosed to you at the time of the order.
8. Promotions, coupons and store credit
Coupons and promotional offers are subject to the specific terms published with each offer, including validity period, minimum cart value, category exclusions and usage limits.
Unless expressly stated, coupons are single-use, non-transferable, and cannot be combined with other offers.
Store credit has no cash value, is non-transferable, and is redeemable only against purchases on horeka.co. Any expiry period is stated at the time of issue.
Where an order that used a coupon is cancelled or refunded, the coupon is returned to your account where it remains valid; it is not refunded in cash.
We may withdraw or vary any promotion prospectively at any time. Orders already confirmed under a promotion are honoured.
9. Fraud prevention
We screen orders for fraud. We may decline an order, require additional verification, or restrict an account where we reasonably suspect unauthorised use of a payment instrument, coupon abuse, or systematic abuse of our returns process. Refunds are always issued to the original payment method and never to a third-party account.
If you believe your account or payment instrument has been used without your authority, contact [email protected] immediately and notify your bank.
10. Taxes
GST is charged at the rate applicable to each product category and is shown in the price breakdown and on the tax invoice. Where you are purchasing as a registered business and require input tax credit, enter your GSTIN before completing checkout — it cannot be added to an invoice after the order is placed.
